Unfortunately, the story went downhill from there. This gave rise to an entertaining first chapter in which she attempts to lure an incubus to her bed, and things go very badly awry. Every time she even thinks about being attracted to a guy, bad things happen. For the last three years Cerys has been under a terrible curse from a witch who thinks she stole her man.
She also has ‘wavy ash-blonde hair’, a fact I’m assuming is important since it was repeated way more than necessary. How did the incredible author who’s produced some of my all-time favourite series (Pirates of Felicity, Vampire Towers, Last Rebel on Earth) give us this snoozefest?Ģ2-year-old Cerys Concordia is a cupid, so obviously she runs a matchmaking service with her best friend, siren Soleil. If this book didn’t have Kelly St Clare’s name on the front cover, I would never in a million years have believed she’d written it. And now some creep is digging up heart elemental bodies. So I’m cursed and dodging the law and trying to put more love in the world each day. And let me tell you, ladies, there are m-u-s-c-l-e-s under his long coat! When my ‘extinct’ brand of magic explodes in the presence of true love, the off-the-charts sexy but infuriatingly bored Detective Devereaux gets involved. Or would if this curse didn’t 100 percent block me from romance. Kissing, maybe? A one-armed hug? Heck, after three years, I’ll take a man touching my bedsheets. Not gonna lie though, it’d be better with a little action. And at twenty-two years old, running a paranormal dating agency with my bestie and living in the magical society of Nepos is an amazing life.
